How Do I Begin My Healing Journey?

Confiding in someone you trust is a great first step in your after-abortion healing journey. You may feel a sigh of relief when verbalizing things you’ve kept inside for weeks, months, or even years. Consider professional after-abortion healing support.

Talk to our caring team at Springwater After Abortion Healing Services to learn the next best step for you. Every woman and man’s journey is unique after abortion, and joy is on the other side of your pain.

One study revealed that women who have an abortion face an increased risk for mental health problems, including substance abuse, anxiety, and depression. Many women have walked the road you are on right now– you are not alone in your healing journey.

Maybe you felt relief after abortion but were surprised with other emotions you began to feel. Other common emotional side effects of abortion include:

  • Regret
  • Sadness
  • Feeling isolated
  • Guilt
  • Nightmares
  • Anger or rage
  • Suicidal impulses
  • Desire to self-harm

All appointments at Springwater After Abortion Healing Services are free. It is our goal to provide you with confidential, supportive care.

We recognize that confidentiality is of the utmost importance to our clients, and we do whatever we can to respect and honor those wishes. Confidentiality is kept unless there are safety concerns for the client or suspicion of abuse of a minor.

While it’s solely up to you, if you feel more comfortable when first visiting us, you can bring someone supportive. We welcome any additional visitors, whether it’s a significant other, a friend, or a family member. We offer after-abortion resources to both women and men.

For one-on-one counseling and Food for Thought groups with a licensed counselor, we are only able to serve individuals in Massachusetts. Our faith-based groups are available additionally to those who are outside of MA.
